General service and warranty conditions Vinofreddo

These warranty and service conditions relate to the purchase of Vinofreddo brand products.


Article 1 - Warranty

We believe warranty and service are important when purchasing a product. Our wine coolers are sold with confidence in quality, durability and long-term performance. However, should a defect or malfunction occur, we guarantee an appropriate solution.
Depending on the situation, the solution may include:
- sending parts;
- employing a service technician;
- product repair;
- or replacement of the device.
An appliance defect or parts question should be reported through Vinofreddo's official service channel.
What is meant by 2-year warranty*
- No mandatory registration of your product upon purchase.
- No charge for repairs and parts within the warranty period.*
- All Vinofreddo wine coolers are covered by this warranty.*
- A service department that provides support for questions, defects and warranty requests.*
* The conditions below from Article 2 apply.


Article 2 - Conditions

1. All Vinofreddo brand wine coolers have a 2-year warranty period.
2. Within this period, counted from the date of purchase, a defective product or part will be repaired. If repair is not possible or ineffective, the device may be replaced.
3. The warranty covers defects that prevent the normal operation of the wine cooler.
4. To claim warranty, you must report a defect within 2 months of discovery.
5. The warranty period begins on the purchase date of the product. The original proof of purchase shall serve as proof of warranty.
6. A copy of the proof of purchase must be included with a service or parts request.
7. The warranty applies only to normal household use within the selling countries.
8. Warranty is subject to the exceptions in Article 3.


Article 3 - Excluded from Vinofreddo warranty

The 2-year Vinofreddo warranty does not apply if:
- The operating, installation or maintenance instructions in the manual have not been followed.
- There is business, professional or corporate use.
- The product has been used inexpertly or improperly.
- The serial number or identification label is missing or illegible.
- Damage is due to external causes such as fire, flood, storm, theft, lightning or other external influences.
- There is normal wear and tear on parts.
- Damage results from inadequate or improper maintenance.
- The device has been improperly installed or built in.
- Repairs have been performed by unauthorized parties or with non-original parts.
- The product has been damaged due to improper transportation or storage.
Not covered under warranty also include:
- Cosmetic damages such as scratches, dents, discoloration or light signs of use.
- Damage to glass, plastic parts or accessories due to improper use.
- Products sold as showroom models, B-choice or second chance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Defects or damages normally covered by contents or liability insurance.


Article 4 - Notification of malfunctions or defects

1. Faults or defects should always be reported through Vinofreddo's official service channel or through the selling party.
2. A copy of the original proof of purchase must be included with the application.
3. No warranty claims can be made without proof of purchase.
4. If a malfunction occurs within 2 months of purchase, we recommend contacting the selling party.
5. Upon replacement of a defective product, the original warranty period will remain in effect from the first date of purchase.
6. Vinofreddo will determine whether to send a part, send a service technician, repair or offer a replacement.
7. If the original model is no longer available, Vinofreddo may offer an equivalent alternative.
8. If a replacement product has a higher product specification than the original device, an additional fee may be charged.


Article 5 - Service outside the warranty period

1. Defects outside the warranty period can be reported through Vinofreddo's service channel.
2. A service technician may be provided upon request at the then current rates.
3. Possible costs include:
o call-out fees;
o labor;
o material costs;
o replacement parts.
4. An indication of examination costs and any repair costs will be given in advance.
5. Fees may be charged for examination and diagnosis.
6. Repair costs must be paid in accordance with the payment terms communicated in advance.


Article 6 - General provisions

- Damage to floors, furniture, walls or other property is beyond Vinofreddo's responsibility.
- Damage caused by improper placement, improper ventilation or insufficient clearance around the wine cooler is not covered under warranty.
- Repair or replacement does not extend the original warranty period.
- If a service visit reveals that no defect is present, investigation costs may be charged.
- Replaced parts and exchanged devices become the property of Vinofreddo.
- Appliances should be empty, accessible and clean at the time of a service visit.
- If a service appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, charges may apply.
- After the warranty period expires, all repair, parts, transportation and labor costs shall be borne by the consumer.
- Limited or no service may be provided on products used or purchased outside the Benelux countries.
- Vinofreddo is not liable for damage caused by faulty installation, incorrect electrical connection or improper ventilation.
- If installation according to manual by a licensed installer is required and this has not been followed, warranty will be void.
- Vinofreddo is not liable for damage whose cause is external to the device.
- These terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law.
- Disputes shall be submitted to the competent Dutch court.
